Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Behold, seeker of the dragon lore, Ohree of the Frilled Green Dragons. Belonging to a once prosperous breed, he should have lived in a big group of kindred and fathered many hatchlings. Sadly, he grew up in the decline of the breed who seem to have lost the ability to breed with each other, and sometimes even to breed at all. He used to have a mate of his own breed named Desirar but after only three successful mating seasons they were no longer able to breed and she chased him away. So far, he has not been able to mate successfully with females of other breeds as well, while his former mate seems not to be able to produce frilled green eggs by mating, only other breed's eggs. His breed being smaller and not really fighters in general, he usually loses against combatants for females anyway. Thus, ever since Desirar chased him off, he has been leading a rather lonely life.
