Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is clearly a water animal.
And look! Its fins have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
Five Dollar Foot Long constantly wonders about her rather peculiar name in comparison to the other dragons in her owner's cave. She knows what 'Five' means, since it's just the number between four and six. She also knows about 'foot long', as she's asked her owner and learned about how humans measure distances; 'foot long' is just the length of a human's foot. It seems simple enough, but this poor Bluna hasn't the slightest of ideas about what a 'dollar' might be! No matter what dragon or human she asks, they can't seem to tell her about what 'dollar' means. She's begun to assume that 'Dollar' might be the small piece of her name that is similar to the rest of the dragons in that it is unique. Though, it's still peculiar to her. Perhaps if there were five of her, and they lined up, they would be a foot long, but that wouldn't make much sense since she's already longer than a foot! The meaning of her name will forever remain a mystery to her.
