Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

With a heart black as midnight and a cunning as dark as the void, Umbrea is a sly, dangerous sort that would be the last person any unsuspecting human or dragon would have the misfortune of bumping into the depths of the night. Like those of her kind, she is an excellent warrior and very quick when bringing down big game but she is something else all together when it comes to sentient species. Using her gentle voice and smooth talking she claims many mortal victims and collects their corpses in her den, freezing them with ice magic she'd practiced to use over the years. She thaws them later when ready to consume. It's said that when she freezes some victims, they're still breathing. She is also known to dabble into necromancy every so often and has raised a small array of undead servants to assist her around the den.
