Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Myeana was summoned to the Sky Fortress court as a child to be a companion to the Prince's son, Naranha. As they grew older they became sweethearts, though such feelings have since cooled. Myeana has traveled to other clans in search of her destined mate, who she believe would possess a silver hide like her own. At least, her search ended in the Forest Keep, where she met Iverdalon, the young and disfavored son of Emperor Celerion. She was able to take him away with her, and they later became proper mates. Myeana is unable to bear children by Iverdalon, but that is not enough to shake their bond.
