Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Eusuicune isn't one of Uxxu's friends. Though all the other frozen hatchlings tolerate Eusuicune, Uxxu downright hates him. Ever since Eusuicune's adopted father, Ephixa's Zeldastep, accidentally used healing magic that was too strong and kept Eusuicune as a hatchling forever, Eusuicune has been stealing gemstones from the other dragons. Uxxu doesn't like that one bit, as he finds himself getting blamed for Eusuicune's trouble. Thankfully for the other dragons, Eusuicune always returns the jewels, leaving most other dragons to be reasonably kind to him. And despite all the trouble Eusuicune causes everyone, the jewels do have a useful magical property when returned to their original owners: the ability to annoy zombies enough to keep them away. Even Uxxu can agree that Eusuicune deserves his place in the cave.
