Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Over the centuries, the storms that sweep his world are becoming more and more violent. Many are beginning to fear that the end of their world is coming due to the fierce nature of these massive tempests. To stabilize the weather and prevent disaster, several Storm Dragons formed what is known as the Great Weather Manipulation Project (GWMP). Caven is a dashing dragon who likes to attract females. He considers himself to be a connoisseurof love and will go to great lengths to win the affections of a female dragon he is interested in. When one of Caven's targets told him she was a member of GWMP, Caven joined in order to spend more time with her. In spite of his original motivation, Caven found that he liked working with the Project and believed their work to be useful. It was only as a bonus that the female he originally joined to court eventually became his permanent mate.
