Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "Beloved Child" in Japanese. She is indeed very beloved, especially by her parents, Norio and Eri, and her mate Kuro-Gamo. She is best friends with Onwa, who has been her friend since hatching. She is only the second Blue-Striped dragon to be born in the colony, and is considered by the other dragons to be particularly beautiful. She has a lustrous sapphire hide, with intricate golden stripes adorning her. She is very small and delicately boned, even for a Striped dragon. She has a beautifully soft voice, and is a great singer as well. She met her mate, Kuro-Gamo, at a gathering of Striped dragons. With his beautiful black hide, he stood out from the other males, and caught Aiji's eye. She had caught his as well, and soon they were dating. Then came courtship, and soon enough, they became mates. They love snuggling together, hunting together, and pretty much just being together. They both love each other so much, and always will.
