Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Divum was a hatchling, he struggled with his daily movement, most unlike the other hatchlings. They were born wingless, with strong legs to play around with. He was born without legs but with wings not strong enough to fly with. He had to suffice with worm-like crawling in his early days. But when he finally matured, he grew and his wings strengthened making him one of the best fliers in the clan. Due to his body formation, he flies differently than the other dragons, appearing to be like a ribbon flying through the air. His best friends are Ludicer and Undo, together they coast the skies. One day, while flying over the vast lake, he saw Undo chasing after what appeared to be a blue serpent in the water. Diving down, he was surprised to see that it wasn't a serpent at all, but the Water Dragon, Unda. Divum was in love with her from the start, but Unda was not an easy girl to impress. They have since become mated for life with Unda taking the waters and Divum taking the skies.
