When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is a quick-tempered watcher of the seas. As his name suggests, his most notable attribute is strength. He favors the vast expanse of the open ocean, but can't travel too far for too long because he must remain in contact with his human and the other members of the cave. Strange human vessels are unwelcome in his territory unless they pay proper homage. With ample amount of anger and a lot of swimming in circles, he can conjure a swirling maelstrom for a short period of time. If his wrath causes the demise of a ship, the human commands Maelstrom's Might to carry the stranded to shore. The dragon snarls complaints about this, but in truth his desire is to simply display his power, never to kill.
