Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

XXx-D4RK '360n0scop' 4V3NG3R-xXX is a really disturbed nocturnal hatchling. Rejected early in life by its famous ancestors and left to die on a pile of old eggs, it's been claiming to whoever wanted to hear it that Roulette Russe, a vampire dragon, assaulted and bit it while it was on its way out of its egg. Having no traces of said assault, all of its cave mates, adults and other hatchlings alike, shrugged it off as a lie to try and be more interesting due to its grim past. Feeling rejected once more, as even Roulette the vampire didn't want anything to do with it, D4RK chose a new name to cut its ties to its former owners, refusing to grow up and even ignoring all forms of communication. It can now be found not far from the entry of its cave, forever a genderless hatchling, playing throwing stones at night, shouting its middle name whenever it hits another dragon in the head for reasons known only to itself.
