Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A Vampiric creature of the night with bloodsucking tendancies, Haduswinth is feared throughout her region of the Dragon world. But she is not evil—she just does what she must to survive. She shelters by day deep within dark caverns, clinging to the rocky ceiling with her sharp, hooked talons, emitting the horrific smell of a rotting corpse to ward away intruders. When the sun's harmful rays have ebbed and died, Haduswinth awakens and prepares for a night's flight. She feeds once a week, using her infrared sensing abilities to seek out warm-blooded prey, sneaking up on sleeping victims under the cover of darkness and burying her viper-like fangs deep into the victims' neck region. Haduswinth consumes practically her body weight in blood before retreating to her cave to digest. Drained of blood, the victims' survival depends on their size and durability.
