When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dwelling not within the vast ocean, but the gentle confines of a vast lake, this playful female is much enamored with the herons and egrets that nest there and accordingly does her best to protect them. While she took up this task alone for many long years--watching their aeries in the mists of the morning, resolutely chasing off the wading predators, healing her charge's wounds--it was to her greatest delight that a male magi one day joined her, dedicating his life to studying the birds she loved. The two quickly became partners, and then companions, spending what time wasn't spent with their hobby babbling with one another... but something has changed. Now her heart races at the mere thought of his name, and his voice finds a place in her dreams. This is something more than friendship, she feels, but she's frightened to call out its name...
