Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Starlus is the patriarch of his Royal Blue family, and they all live together in a high mountain with an opening leading straight to their master's cave network.  Starlus is an incredibly wise dragon, always knowing what to say and do at the appropriate time.  When asked by other dragons on where he gets his wisdom, Starlus simply says that the moonlit river tells what is needed, when it is needed.

Starlus holds the title of "Peacemaker" among his master's fellow dragons, for he has held off multiple dragon rampages with simple conversations of understanding.
