Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rarely is it seen that Windeding leaves his cloud. He spends all his time high up there, living in his own fastastic world. The male dragon may look like a cute pet with that baby blue hide and pink curly hair, but don't let him deceive you. When he sees something that he doesn't approve of—and this could be something such as a dragon with an untidy tail or one using happy behaviour—he sends a bad dream after it. Thus all dragons of the group spend a long time of their day watching upwards to avoid being near Windeding's cursed cloud. One dragon that will certainly not forget her encounter with Windeding is Belin, who once accidentally bounced into his cloud and received an evil nightmare. It is feared that Windeding's grudge against Belin will never end.
