Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nikashi is very sweet. She's slightly eccentric and sometimes acts younger than her age, but she's very wise and moral. She loves watching and playing with the hatchlings that live near. All the neighbor hatchlings call her Cousin Nikkie. Nikashi has a lot of respect for the king of her land. She has a slight crush on him but doesn't want to tell him. She is nocturnal, and she fears that would be a burden on their relationship. Most of her friends know of her crush. Some tease her about it often. She's very loyal to her authority figures and loves doing deeds for everyone on the land. She even helps wild animals with things such as finding food and habitats.
