Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Darkfire is a proud mysterious dragon. He doesn't speak much and hunts with deadly precision, usually suffocating his prey. Darkfire was once wild but decided to join the Amishi clan. It wasn't for protection, support or the shelter. He was strong and capable enough on his own. No, it was for a female that he decided to join. Her name is OrifielFlight and on many occasions he caught her watching the wild herds. He tried to coax her to leave the clan and join the wilderness but she was too frightened of the idea and of him. It didn't bother him. She made his blood burn and he was determined to stay at her side. The clan life was hectic but amusing. An arrogant dorsal finned dragon named Redhorn challenged him for the right to have Orifiel as a mate. Darkfire defeated him easily, debating whether or not to finish him off. Orifiel had intervened and asked him to spare his life and accepted Darkfire as her true mate.
