Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Darkwing is the odd one out among the black dragons of his clan. While he is a good physical fighter, like the all the other blacks, he is also a bit of a goof.

He likes to announce his approach with various 'cool' lines but most of them are just very weird. He makes odd comparisons and even has a few catchphrases. Most of this wouldn't bother the other dragons much if it wasn't for the fact that Darkwing insists on being a lone 'hero', not needing any help and expecting to be admired.

The dragons that take Darkwing at face value usually don't like him, but a lot of his peers have come to the conclusion that Darkwing is mostly joking around and doesn't even take himself serious and are quite amused by the 'Terror that Flaps in the Night'.
