Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Colere is a dragon who can only tolerate having things her way. Her expectations are exceedingly high, and she seems to desire perfection out of everyone. She has a short temper as well, and if angered, she can get quite destructive. In addition, she is very dominant and hates being challenged by those she deems lesser than her. She often acts like she is the leader when she is not. The dragons who live with her in the Cove are especially aware of her destructive tendencies and are extra careful when talking to her.

Despite her negative personality, she is very good friends with Soya, a Fever Wyvern who seems to share her aggressiveness. She also is somehow quite affectionate with Starscape, a male Celestial Dragon who is her polar opposite; calm, collected, and careful.

Colere's biggest weakness, however, is water. She hates it with every inch of her soul and shrivels up at even a splash of it. Thus, many dragons have resorted to splashing her with water to defend themselves.
