Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its scales give off a beautiful golden gleam.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Nobody knows exactly who this dragon is, but everyone knows she's had some awfully bad luck. According to the stories she tells, she was attacked by humans who mistook her for a gold dragon and wanted her scales. She tried to escape but wound up among a group of wild dragons who attacked her. She was rescued and brought back to the Crimson Island, where she was frozen so she wouldn't die. She has never been given a real name, but she's often called 'The Crimson Island Hatchling'.

She's very timid and shy after the event she experienced previously that nearly killed her, but she loves to explore within the safety of Crimson Island. She doesn't like the building with all of the towers—she thinks it's too small. Instead, she prefers checking out the mountains, oceans, lava streams, and other such places that Crimson Island has to offer. She definitely prefers the alpine regions. There's nothing she enjoys more than a playful snow fight with the other hatchlings.
