Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Re'carth Emerstar is a large Green Dragon with deep green scales and ruby red eyes. She is extremely bad tempered, at the best of times, due to an old injury on one hind leg which was gained when she got into a fight with Nitrate Oxidous over who was the top dragon in the Quill lands. She is only calm if she is with her mate, Obsidian Crimsonstone, her Keeper or alone.  She spends a lot of the time sitting, or lying, above the entrance way into the Caverns, not that far from her mate.
