Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A cold winter's night had been the only witness to Ikran's quiet entry to DNH Dragon Reserve. While gentle and kind, he was also mysterious and reserved like the other members of his breed. Days passed by in complete solitude, as Ikran enjoyed pacing through the depths of the woodland, grazing at berries, closing his eyes to absorb every single one of the forest's scents, and letting the frozen wind ruffle his creamy mane.

Peace was all Ikran wished. He did not worry much for past or future, and would rather live the present. Change was to come to Ikran's perfect paradise, as the far cry of other dragons brought his attention. He galloped through the woodlands to reach a praire, and hidden under the shadows of trees, he observed curiously a large herd of horse dragons. There she was, the most beautiful creature Ikran had ever seen. Their eyes met, and from that day on, Ikran would go to the prairies every day, for his heart now longed for a beauty he knew he could never have.
