Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The race was on! While more foolish souls squabbled over armies numbering in the thousands of LESSER beings, one sorceress set her goal far higher; to collect about oh, say, two hundred sunsong amphipteres, the most beautiful of beautiful breeds, and in the process crown herself Queen of all Sunsong Collectors! The cackling and greedy hand rubbing that often accompanies such statements often sets her timid "army" into bouts of panic, but that's where this dragon steps in. Viewing her, um, 'owner' in a more positive light than most, she believes great things could come of amassing so many of her fortune granting kind together, and as such she works hard to keep the peace among the current glittery residents and encourage others to join them. While such efforts take up a good deal of time, she still squeezes in enough free minutes to maintain an up to date tally of exactly how many of her kind have already been assembled.
