Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Mint colored dragons are the most peaceful of all dragons; they only eat plants unless they scavenge meat from an already dead animal. They also have no ways to attack others or defend themselves. They are much smaller than other forms of dragons since they only double in size when they mature. Mint dragons are unable to use magic and cannot fly since they lack wings. Their looks have given rise to the common insult of calling dragons “large lizards.”
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Betony is very jealous of other dragons. They can fly, breathe fire, are capable of magic, have sharp claws and teeth, and more importantly, they are very big and very imposing. Betony feels that she is nothing compared to them. She is small, flightless, has no magical abilities whatsoever, she lacks natural weapons and she is often mistaken for a pathetic lizard. Numerous predatory dragon species will prey on her kind, and so she has been forced to scrape out a living hiding in burrows and having to constantly be on the alert for danger. Betony's friend Mintha rolls her eyes at Betony's constant complaining about how she wished her life could be better, and often has to remind her that things could be much worse. By being a Zombie dragon, for instance, or a Stone dragon that does literally nothing all day but eat rocks, or an enchanted piece of food or paper. At least Betony HAS a life (however insignificant it may be) and occasionally, Betony cannot help but agree.
