Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It loves warmth, and sometimes you have to pull it away from fire to keep it from burning itself.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Kitty is the most adorably cute and curious little hatchling. She always sniffs around in adult dragons' private affairs and even follows the human caretaker Herk around to find out what she's doing when she's not spending time with the clan. After hours and days of meticulous research, Kitty found out that Herk often visits with a group of humans called "Doomers" mainly to visit with her lady-love Dimar. When she tried to tell other dragons of these exciting news, they just laughed and pointed at various dragons that regularly carried messages and tiny gifts back and forth between the two humans. Kitty spent the next whole five minutes pouting with crossed forelegs and a stuck out lower jaw, before she went to search for new secrets to discover.
