Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spearmint Empress, the Ice of Spades, threatens the dragons of her cave during the winter. Though Fantasy Lord, the daydream dragon and leader of the cave, knows he should be in control, he knows better than to fight this dragon. Spearmint is a very fierce fighter; after all, she holds the power of blizzards in her. The frozen and non-frozen hatchlings are always ushered under the care of the red and magi dragons when winter comes. The adult dragons take the toll of this dragon. She is always looked at as the deputy of the cave, for when Fantasy Lord passes away, she is determined to take his place. Often, Spearmint Empress picks fights with dragons outside of her cave, and almost all the time, she defeats them with a roar filled with a coldness so chilling that the red dragons have to defrost the victim. Or this dragon would send a vicious whack to the head and leave the opponent out cold.
