Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

One of the resident staff at Delirium's Academy Mirros has spent some of his youth studying the magics of other species. During his adolescent years he spent a lot of time close to a wizard's tower watching and learning from afar. But despite his best efforts not to disturb the man in his natural environment, the human wizard was very aware of the dragon youngling close by.

Nobear the Wise was a master of binding and had studied the necessary spells to intertwine his own lifeforce with a less sentient creature, creating a familiar bond to increase his own magics. Mirros was pretty amused that the small mammal entertained even the possibility of binding a dragon and let the spell take its course.

Now Nobear and Mirros are bound for life and neither can leave the other for long but seeing as Nobear now lives inside Mirros' chambers within the academy only protected from the other Magis by his 'familiar's' patronage the question who is whose pet remains disputable.
