Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Destiny Of The Darkness is a male vampire dragon. He's the second-in-command in a vampire dragon gang led by his vampiric grandfather, Outlaw Of The Darkness. Destiny Of The Darkness is lazy and boastful. Many dragons, especially those in Outlaw's gang, think that Destiny is all bark and no bite.

Although Destiny Of The Darkness takes great pleasure in boasting about his 'achievements', he is very quick to back away from a fight. Destiny lives in a cave in the mountain range known as The Dragon's Teeth. Foolish hatchlings sometimes make a game out of throwing pebbles into his cave. However, hatchlings who dare to play this dangerous game do not always return.

Destiny Of The Darkness rarely bothers to lift a finger in the gang and he usually gets other vampires to do his dirty work. He has no mate, being a vampire dragon, and doesn't care for love. Most dragons correctly assume that Destiny Of The Darkness only earned such an high rank among the vampires due to his ancestry.
