Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Autumn Sunrise was one of the first of her species to arrive in Wyrda's clan, alongside Autumn Sunset. Both of them grew up together and, as nothing else could have happened, became mates. Sunrise is a kind creature, and respects life in its every form. Being so responsible and loving, parents of all the clan leave their hatchlings with her if they need someone to take care of them, and the dragoness happily accepts, as she enjoys just sitting somewhere and watching the little ones play. But what she loves the most is her mate. Even though both of them are opposites they couldn't live without the other, and Sunrise knows that behind Sunset's hard exterior lies a kind hearted and loving dragon. She often acts as his conscious by preventing him from doing things he would later regret, and patiently waits for him to return from his various missions. These two Autumns are the role model pair to follow for young mates, and also the ones with the most numerous offspring of the clan.
