Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Asadero, named for a type of Mexican cheese, is a quiet, calm Dragon. He avoids the sun most of the time, afraid that he'll melt. He has an air of sadness about him that never fully goes away, due much in part of the fact the he knows he's not quite real. He loves the young Dragons, and spends much of his time helping to care for the Eggs and Hatchlings. Although he cannot ever have his own children, he acts as a foster parent to many abandoned Dragons.
