Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This little hatchling loves An-An so much that she followed her home four times in a row, completely disregarding her attempts to give her to a better home. An-An finally gave up and kept the silly, silly little thing. She likes singing a little too much and bothers the Water dragons often, usually asking for swimming lessons. Like Erik, she adores teddy bears and has discovered a fondness for small animals, like rabbits. An-An tries to discourage this, but has been otherwise unsuccessful. The cave's other residents have eyed these so-called "pets" of hers in a rather unfriendly fashion.
