Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

Once Mystery saw a little girl getting lured to a swamp by some misfit pygmies. They had their fun, watching the little girl cry and shout for her mommy and when they got bored, they left her. Mystery felt sad for the little girl, but as she didn't have friends, she didn't know how to act. She slowly approached the girl and wiped the tears with her tail. The girl was happy to see Mystery treating her nicely and she liked her purple wing stripe and began to follow her around. Mystery was a bit lost herself, because normally she would fly over the swamp, but she didn't want to leave the girl. Finally they got out and the girl's parents were already looking for her. When they saw Mystery next to their daughter they got scared and shooed the dragon away. Sad by being falsely accused a Misfit she flew back to the swamp to hide. She doesn't know if the girl explained the truth to her parents, but Mystery never saw either of them again. And to think she thought she had made a friend...
