As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

This shy drake found a church steeple to be the perfect place to roost.  The priests and acolytes never got a good look at her—they just saw something flit further into the shadows when performing steeple maintenance.  Despite divine protection, the church personnel are somewhat frightened of what lurks in their steeple and most avoid disturbing her.  However, one brave (or stupid) acolyte, tasked with clearing bats from the belfry, discovered that she is something more and now brings treats to her on a regular basis.
