Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ngutu is an even-tempered hatchling who relies on the adult dragons to bring it food and keep it safe. It is very playful but also somewhat shy of other people besides its tamer. This little Neotropical hatchling can wait for a very long time without getting antsy or stressed. For the most part, it spends its days in the jungle with both it's tamers dragons and a few wild ones of its species.
