Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. "Moonlights" are rare dragons only found in the alpine at the very tops of the high cliffs where they can be close to the moon. Every full moon, all the Royal Blues of the area that can fly come out of their caves with their families and fly around the moonpool. A pool of water that reflects the full moon in it. When the adult dragons find a male or female they will have the ability to mate while the younger ones play fight.
