Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Averiel honest to god has not done much with her life. All she cares about is finding tasty berries to eat and to avoid any and all trouble. In the meantime she waits for her beloved mate to return from fulfilling his insatiable curiosity. However he been gone for an abnormally long time which is starting to worry her. Yet she has faith in him and that he will figure out how to make his way home and be able to tell her the fantastical stories of the world. It is not that Averiel is lazy she simply has agoraphobia or a intense fear of the outside world. While Jaxas has to cure her this with stories of his travels she is only making mild progress and is still afraid to even meet their neighbours Turok and Aharzel without him being there. Aharzel has made some progress though and is determined to help Averiel get the courage she needs to have a true conversation with the blunt, gruff, yet friendly Turok.
