Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tinsel Decor has a rather terrible disposition for a Christmas dragon. He is quite irritable, always griping about something, and yet somehow still manages to cheer up those around him, much to his resigned disgruntlement.

His grumpiness tends to be so comically over-the-top that his weyrmates can't help but be amused by his aggravated antics. Mistletoe Overture, his polar opposite and dear brother, certainly doesn't help, often gently poking fun at him in an attempt to get a rise from it (it always works, of course).

Tinsel's weyrmates positively adore him, no matter how snappy he can get, and go out of their way to care and provide for him. Their generosity and kindness is not lost on him, but it seems even he has trouble getting past his prickly outer shell in order to show his well-hidden gratitude.

Tinsel may be mysteriously mate-less, but secretly hopes to have a very large brood of his own to care for some day. Only his brother is aware of his aspirations.
