Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become bigger, more aggressive, and much hotter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bluefire Brightsteel was unfairly frozen as the result of an undeserved punishment that was not verified by the leader first. She raged at those dragons who grew up but still squealed on her whenever she made an mistake. She even dared to attack them once they grew up whenever she saw them. The clan leader of leaders was very angry when he got word that several dragons squealed on a hatchling and lied about her so much that a Magi was tricked into freezing her for the rest of her life. Even after their banishment she still didn't give up her ferocious nature. Since it was learned she cannot unlearn it. Her only friend is Redfire Redblade along with several other frozen hatchlings and she is favored by the leader of leaders and some other dragons.
