Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It was a warm summer evening; the setting sun bathed everything in flattering warm shades, and especially the shiny wings of a Bronze dragon who chose that time to finally emerge from her cave after several days. It was not an uncommon occurrence, she would often be withdrawn for long periods of time, only to be particularly open and playful afterwards. That time however was different. Despite the excitement her appearance caused among her fellows she remained indifferent and distant, preferring to idle away the time in the sunlight with only a couple of lone Seragamma Wyverns as company—a sharp contrast to her formerly joyful spirit when she would entertain different mates as often as possible. To this day nobody knows what caused such a shift in her attitude. One can only hope her disdain for the rest of the world will soon cease, so that hatchlings with the same shiny scales as her may roam the fields once again.
