Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Cheerful and independent, about the only thing this rambunctious dragon has ever let hold her back is her sisters--and even then they're usually giggling and encouraging her rather than telling her to stop. Indeed, Varsellie and her two sisters--all triplets--were the closest of close, spending nearly every waking minute together and sharing all of each other's joys and sorrows.

Until, that is, they were separated.

He came from the south, spreading fire and destruction; a massive black dragon who demanded one of the fair sisters as his mate in return for the sparing of their family. And it was the meekest, the gentlest, of the sisters who offered herself as the sacrifice. Horrified by what had taken place, Varsellie and her remaining sister, Marciane, swore they would see his cruel reign ended and their sister saved. It would be no easy task for the best, and all that much harder for kindly Christmas dragons, but they have faith in their resolve--and in Christmas miracles.
