Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Some think that Vermyr is a very restless dragon.  He considers himself to be vigilant.  This vine dragon can be found at nearly any hour of the day patrolling the parameter of the Valley.  He feels that with the growth of the Valley there will imminently be a threat to it. He seeks to protect the Valley as a whole and feels his keeper can take care of herself.  He looks to her out of respect more than as a maternal figure.  His serious demeanor earns him some ridicule but there aren't many dragons in the Valley that don't respect his sense of dedication and perseverance.
