Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Afraid of the apocalypse, which is sure to happen any time now, this dragon has taken to hiding deep inside the cave. Living in the dark alone, he is rarely seen by the other dragons of this cave. Thus Silverus Bones has developed quite a few anti-social and abnormal traits. One of his more macabre ones is that he hoards bones and silver instead of gold. This has led to the alienation from the few friends he had and his expulsion from the albino clan. Hence he learned to fear change, and asked the freezing faery to freeze him in his hatchling state. Besides, even if he had grown up he wouldn't have lived much longer because he believed the four horsemen were waiting just around the corner.
