White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born in a traveling family of gypsy-like healers, Brilliant Sapphire Dust was named in an ancient language, after the gem powder that her father loved and prized as a remedy for diseases. As a hatchling she often scoffed at her parents' mystical and often eccentric ways of healing the dragons they came upon, thinking that those methods were unscientific and had no proof. Eventually, nearing maturity and adulthood, Brilliant Sapphire Dust decided to leave her traveling family and seek out a home for herself. She was rejected by many prominent clans because her family were gypsies, a fact that has made her very bitter towards prejudice. Eventually, she found her current clan, and continues to heal others today. She even uses her father's special dust, for she has realized the error of her ways. While she claimed that her father's remedies had no proof, she never saw the evidence all around her: almost all of the dragons who had come to her father had returned to their families healed.
