Anagallis Dragons are a medium-sized omnivorous breed. Widespread and adaptable, their easygoing nature enables them to flourish under most conditions. They are social creatures, fun-loving and outgoing, and will readily defend smaller dragons from others’ aggression. They are fond of sunshine, and can often be found basking on rocks; on cloudy or stormy days they are more reluctant to venture out, and will often hide themselves away until the weather is more favorable.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sunlight has the kind of happy-go-lucky character you'd expect from an Anagallis. He's always thinking positive, always putting a bright spin on things to make them seem better or just less horrible. He has this somewhat sweet hatchling-like naivety to him. He isn't necessarily stupid, just blissfully ignorant to the problems around him. He chooses not to focus on all the bad stuff in the world, much like a lot of his family. Unfortunately, also like them, he tends to ignore it completely. This leads to Sunlight acting totally oblivious to the problems of others, even ignoring them when they try to relinquish any pain. It's not that he's trying to be hurtful, he's just trained his brain too well to block out negativity. On the contrary, Sunlight is the perfect dragon to be around during a nice day. He's a socialite, much like his siblings, and takes a rightful place as the life of the party. In fact, all throughout the summer, he holds an on-going festival around the lake he lives by.
