Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Year after year this dragon refused dozens of male dragons hoping to become her mate. This earned her the name Untouchable Maiden. People were amazed that, when she finally did choose a mate, her eyes fell on shy Caveborn Darling, a young pink dragon.

Caveborn Darling loves her since he was a hatchling. In fact sometimes he thinks he had even loved her as an egg. Yet he had never dared to hope that she'd return the feeling.

The other Valentine dragons in Laura-Lana's clan don't wonder about that. After all they are dragons of love, so it is no wonder that Untouchable Maiden waited for the dragon, who loved her the most.
