Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

"Blood of the Sun", whom is called by all the other dragons of his owner's herd simply "Sun's Blood", is a quiet outcast who rarely tries to fit in. The gem on his tail is enormous, as he often goes on gem-expeditions in the depths of the intricate labyrinth his herd lives in. The long, intertwining tunnels seem to go on forever and ever, and not all of it has yet been discovered. Many shady, lifeless caves still remain, and these are the caves that Sun's Blood likes to walk through. It is not uncommon for him to disappear for months before returning, as all he does is wander through the labyrinth. If he comes to another entrance to the surface he simply flies home. Usually, he simply wanders across the same cave and is able to find his way back. Either way, his gemstone is usually twice the size when he returns due to the massive amount of gems and rubies he finds on his little cave-trips.
