Brute Dragons are among the larger dragon breeds. They prefer to live in solitude or small groups, nesting in high, mountainous regions. The only time they openly seek the company of others is during the mating season, when males will fight for the attention of females. The thunderous crash of Brute Dragons butting horns against each other in competition for mates can be heard nearly a mile away.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kerigan cautiously nudged the last stone into place. He had spent the last few days arranging his cave in preparation for the mating season. Now, at last, he was ready. Just in time, too—a lovely copper female was looking his way.

Four days and several rejections later, Kerigan began to grow discouraged. Nothing he did seemed to please any of his prospects. "Perhaps more roses would do the trick," he mused. "If only the females weren't so choosy!"

Finally, Kerigan met his perfect match: a White dragon named Kiarane. Unlike the other dragons, she paid more attention to Kerigan himself than to his cave. Certain he had found his mate, Kerigan led her into his cave to display the centerpiece of his decorating efforts—the carcass of the largest beast he could find, topped with roses. He believed the result was both romantic and a good indicator of his skills as a provider. But as Kiarane stepped into the cave, Kerigan remembered one important fact: White dragons don't eat meat.
