Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dreamweevil is a savage and sneaky young daydream dragon, whose personality seems to conflict with that of others of his kind. With his baby-blue hued scales, soft pink mane and tail tip, adorable pink cloud and large purple, innocent eyes, Dreamweevil can trick almost any hatchling or adult into thinking he is friendly and cute. After this sweet charade, Dreamweevil quickly flies down to steal their thoughts, snickering all the way. Surprisingly, Dreamweevil does have a few close friends, which is a rare thing for daydreams.
