Canopy Dragons love to soar above the tropical jungles and other densely forested areas. Their billowing, layered wings create generous lift that allows them to ascend effortlessly over the warm jungle. While their unique wings do not make them the fastest flyers, they are champion gliders. To further this end, dexterity, maneuverability, and grace are all judged by the females when selecting their mates from the males that can accurately complete the exhausting and elaborate courtship dance between the close growing branches of the upper canopy.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Tori wandered the forest, just as any good adventurer would. Her companions chose not to, due to the fact that dragons ruled this forest area. But, a good adventurer never backs down from a challenge and she set forth. Not very far into her journey she got to see many of the dragons that ruled the canopy. As she traveled and explored she watched them dance through the trees and stumbled, quite literally, into a dragon's nest. She only touched one of the eggs and knew the mother would no longer accept something that had a different scent on it, her egg or not. Thus, Tori stashed it into her backpack and went back to her companions. After months of raising the egg it finally hatched and not long after grew. Tori named the beautiful female Fernwatcher and allowed her to return to the canopy where she was bred. Fernwatcher visits Tori often and remembers her well and remains a family member to Tori and her other dragons.
