Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aqurick is a playful dragon, often found flying around in the area around the cave, or sometimes in it. She is friendly and caring, although very naive, and can be tricked easily. Syalis and Glorious Sun have tricked her into drinking potions that would dull her beautiful scales in the sunlight, but nothing has worked so far. She loves to fly with other dragons, and often believes that even though they may do bad, even horrible things, they have the best intentions at heart. She enjoys amusing the hatchlings by going outside in the daylight and doing tricks into the air, smiling when they cheer at her tricks and ooh and aah at how her scales shine. She actually seems to pity Syalis and Glorious, even though they have tricked her many times, looking at them sadly whenever they sit in a corner and glower at her.
