Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It perfectly depicts winter weather.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Seemingly frozen before having reached full potential, Coghi lives in a quite bizarre and sometimes nonsensical in-between. The youngling, for lack of a better term, has a mindset painfully close to the cold, realistic outlook of those far older than herself. Brimming on the edge of cynicism, but not quite yet fallen into such a depressive way of looking at things. Clever enough to understand the better of life's minor complexities, and some of the bigger ones still, but naively. And unfortunately, the more persuasive of her bitter thoughts do get the best of her on occasion, claiming that her given state warrants certain feelings of not-belonging, especially so since her childhood friends seem to have aged properly and gone about their lives. In these circumstances, the puzzled dragon lets her eyes rest on celestial water bodies, wondering why there are no wings upon her back to bring her to such an idealized, less conflicting in-between.
